3D Printed Jewelry Design Competition

The competition

Using the free Autodesk Fusion 360 software, or other CAD software, design your own 3D jewelry designs. Design a ring, pendant, earrings or bracelet or any other piece of jewelry you can think of, let your creativity flow!

You do not need a 3D printer to participate in the 3D design challenge.

Submission

Attach a copy of your original 3D design as a .stl file and email it to competitions@thescienceline.org with the Subject Line: "3D Printed Jewelry Design Competition". Include your Full Name and Email Address.

Submission deadline

May 31st, 2017 at 11:59 pm ET. Winners will be notified by June 9th.

Ages

10-18

Judging and contest rules

Designs will be judged based on creativity, feasibility and quality. Designs should be printable in PLA or ABS plastic and fit into a box no bigger than 4inx4inx4in. The contest is only open to U.S. residents. All designs must be original creations.

Grand Prize

Prizes

The grand prize winner will receive a XYZ printing da Vinci Junior, a The Science Line T-Shirt and your design will be printed with a 3D printer and featured in our S.T.E.M. Fashion Show. The grand prize winners will also be able to work with Sci Chic and have their piece featured and sold by Sci Chic.

Second prize

The second place winner will have their design printed with a 3D printer and mailed to them along with a The Science Line T-shirt and a $25 giftcard to Shapeways, a 3D printing company that can print future prints.

Third prize

The third place winner will have their design printed with a 3D printer and mailed to them along with a The Science Line T-shirt.
